Dr. Sutton put the “Five Kernels of Corn” story about the Pilgrims up on his blog, It’s About Them, several years ago. About this time of year it always receives a large number of “hits,” and hundreds of hits every Thanksgiving Day.
In this recording Jim not only shares the story, but gives a bit of additional information about the story and its source. It is shared here as being a true story of sustaining faith. It is taken from a first- hand account as recorded in the journal of William Bradford and excerpted in Manual and Marshall’s inspiring book, The Light and the Glory (6:13).
